I have been really bad at blogging regularly. That’s no secret. I wish I had more motivation to do it. I guess living on the road is a little weird. It changes your mindset a bit. Holy cow.
Playing a good show with a packed room of energetic people can make up for at least 28 bad shows.
A couple of night ago in Dallas, we played at a place called the Door on the Gypsy Tea Room stage. It was such a blast. We all played really well. Everyone was so into it. Juli’s whole family came and surprised her by coming. It’s hard to describe how amazing it feels when you know that you’re in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.
I am sorry I didn’t blog when I said I would.
We are staying at Craig Reynolds house. (the retired baseball player, now pastor of Houston megachurch) Woo! I think it’s pretty cool.
He has the record of the most triple plays in one game. He also played in 2 all star games. That is serious business. ALSO! I found out that his son is good friends with one of my good friends. Pretty awesome. *cue “it’s a small world”*
Being a full time musician has so many benefits, it’s hard to believe that it’s within reach.
It’s also hard to believe that people are paying me to do what I am passionate about and love doing.
After spending the night in Ft. Collins after a late night show and an interview for Ft. Collins radio, we left for Lubbock TX at 4am. Woo. It wasn’t too terrible, but it was pretty rough. Sleeping has become one of my best friends. After we get back from this tour, I plan on switching to polyphasic sleeping, which I am really excited about.
