I shaved 3 people’s heads last night.

To protect the names of the innocent, I’ve blurred out the faces of the people until the dust settles a little bit. I’m not sure there even is dust, but I think notifying the proper people (wives, girlfriends) this happened is the first thing that is important.
It was totally spontaneous, random and what started as a joke, quickly turned into a serious endeavor. Those of you who know me know that I shave my head regularly (thanks male pattern baldness) so I had all the equipment to make their dream a reality, and all that talk turned into, “Well if you do it, I’ll do it…” haha. Pretty epic. Anyway, I was proud to be a part of it.
When you’re doing what you love with the people you love, what more can you ask for?
Tonight we played our last show before we are gone for almost 2 months on the road. Although bittersweet, I am so excited and I can’t wait to see what will happen next. Big things are on the horizon for the autumn film. A lot of my friends and family showed up tonight and it was just about the most encouraging thing ever. It just feels really validating to see all the support for what I have chosen to do. I’m sorry to those of you that read this that I wasn’t able to really say hi. I am so glad you came and it means so much to me. Thank you. Write me an email! I would love to hear from you. Cheers.

Although it’s a bit hard to describe, it’s almost like being isolated from real life for a time even though this is about as real as it gets. Continue reading ‘Texas Feels Infinite’
The more I think about it, the more I love Memphis. The people we’ve gotten to know here are just incredible people. We had some really, really, really good BBQ with Bryan and the family we’re staying with, and we were laughing so hard at all the banter they had about all these funny things. HA! I guess you had to be there, really.
After eating way too much at lunch, we went over to some of Aubrea’s and Juli’s college friends who happen to be in Memphis now too, and it was equally incredible. They are in love with our music, and we all just talked and got to know each other a little better. They are great story tellers, too. And! They made us another incredible meal that I was way too stuffed for but I ended up finishing anyway because it was too delicious to say no to. I would love to talk more about everything, but Reid needs his computer back.
