Hey there,

So since my last post, my blog has cobwebs since no one has been here in a long time. Sorry about that. All 6 of you.

Update: I spent an hour and a little bit in court today. Reason: I sped on the highway and was going too fast to mail in a fine, so I had a mandatory appearance in court.

Verdict: Guilty!

Conclusion: I don’t really like the consequences of speeding, and I’ll try and not do it too much in the future.

Conclusion 2: Although I ended up having to pay money to the court and spend valuable time watching the whole process of how court goes (I’ve never been, so it was fascinating) I am actually kind of glad in a weird way that I ended up having to go. It was a criminal court and there was a lot of crazy charges for some of the people before me. The whole process was actually amazing to be a part of. I just get so proud when I think of what an incredible country our forefathers set up for us. I get all weepy inside and am just so thankful for their wisdom and foresight. I ended up thinking of it like paying money to take a field trip to the court to see how it all works. I wish I would’ve done it earlier. In the future, I might just end up going to go to just observe.

All of this probably makes me kind of a weirdo, but whatever. I am okay with being a weirdo with a greater respect and appreciation for the legal system and the whole process. Although there are lots of flaws, I am so glad I am an American and there’s just really no other place quite like here. It’s beautiful. That’s all.

In other news, stuff with the band is going well! It will be interesting to see what happens next, and I am definitely super excited to be a part of it all. I think good things will be coming from everything that is in the works now. Stay tuned for hopefully more frequent updates!
