Texas Tour part 1

Being a full time musician has so many benefits, it’s hard to believe that it’s within reach.

It’s also hard to believe that people are paying me to do what I am passionate about and love doing.

After spending the night in Ft. Collins after a late night show and an interview for Ft. Collins radio, we left for Lubbock TX at 4am. Woo. It wasn’t too terrible, but it was pretty rough. Sleeping has become one of my best friends. After we get back from this tour, I plan on switching to polyphasic sleeping, which I am really excited about.

After getting into Lubbock, we had a few hours to recoup from the trip (and shower—woo!) and then it was off to a place called the Porchlight. Lubbock is pretty uncomplicated, but we are totally dependent on the new GPS we got. We played pretty well. Although it wasn’t very crowded, I think there were a lot of people who liked us. There was a girl named Maria who had heard Tifah and Aubrea play in Houston a few months back and said she would pack the place out next time we come to Lubbock. haha awesome. The staff at the Porchlight were exceptional. They covered dinner and gave us free drinks. I had one called a snicker bar, which I think was a mocha with caramel and chocolate syrup on top of whipped cream. It was heavenly.

It’s so cool to meet other people everywhere we go who have similar passions.

Today we travel to Austin. Our show in Waco got cancelled unfortunately, so big bummer, but the show in Austin at emo’s should be epic.

I wish I could write better. I feel like the excitement I have inside is really hard to express while typing. I want to journal this trip so I can remember everything later. It’s really been an adventure so far and we still have a long way to go. I think that’s about it. More later. (maybe my next ones will be more interesting and entertaining)
