Old Stomping Grounds

When we were in Houston a couple of days ago, we found out that our Waco show was canceled and soon after, our Lubbock show was canned as well. Although a big bummer, we ended up driving straight to AZ, but not before stopping in San Antonio. I’ve never been, but it was awesome! I saw the Alamo!

Not only that, but Reid, Tifah, Aubrea and I went down to the river walk and looked around, and ended up having a delicious pint at an Irish pub. I was thinking that if I ever date anyone, and I am in San Antonio, the river walk is the place to be. It almost had a movie set feeling when we were there. It was a little strange, but oh so romantic.

After passing through the capitol of Texas, we ended up in Tempe, AZ where I went to school in 2002. Since our gig is in Scottsdale, I didn’t think we would be here at all, but the friends we are staying with happen to be just a few blocks from where I lived. Woo! So exciting. Also what’s so exciting is that it’s not 120 F here. It’s supposed to be a mild 80-something. Fantastic.

Jeff and I spent our honeymoon in San Antonio. If anyone is going to go ANYWHERE in Texas I suggest San Antonio. It is so full of Texas history is a great melting pot of culture. And the River Walk…amazing….and has indeed been the location of several movies! Glad you got to go there Dann…Now you have a reference to “The history of Jeff and Cheryl”. Funny since Sat was our 22 anniversary!!

Sorry for the tardiness, Matt! We have found that most people we stay with are just as hopelessly addicted to LOST as we are.

Yay for Texas! Yay for San Antonio. And Congratulations on your 22nd anniversary!
