I have to admit that I am becoming a morning person. I am consistently up before everyone, and it seems like I fall asleep earlier and earlier. I guess I wouldn’t have too much of a problem with it if I wasn’t a musician, and so far it hasn’t really interfered, but it’s just weird that I can’t sleep in anymore like I used to be able to. It’s kind of nice being up before anyone else. I get lots of time to read and think and write–all things that I need to do more of and find more satisfaction in the more I do.
We drove through the night from Columbia to Springfield, MO. We didn’t know it would be a three hour trip though. It was really tough staying awake that long. Aubrea is a champion night-time driver though. I found myself being completely wide awake, and then all of a sudden opening my eyes really suddenly to realize that I had been dozing. If I drive through the night, I’ll be sure to have an IV of caffeine hooked up.
Once again, we are staying at some really nice people’s house, and on top of that, they didn’t mind that we showed up at 3:30 tromping around, trying to figure out who’s sleeping where. In hindsight, we probably shouldn’t have had that really noisy whipped cream/pillow fight/wrestle match. I think it might have woken someone up. If we didn’t then, then I am almost 100% certain we woke at least one person up when we started blowing those really loud orange rape/lost in the middle of the forest whistles.
It’s weird how many different kinds of whistles there really are! The super loud ones that you can buy at camping stores are the best though. My ears are STILL RINGING.
I think Aubrea and I are in some sort of Blog-War. She blogs a lot, and all it makes me want to do is blog more too! I guess it’s sort of spurring me on, so whatever that’s called. Not really a war, but a competition perhaps? Who knows? In any case, let the battle begin!
